Kurt Schwertsik (1935- )

Kurt Schwertsik (born in Vienna, June 25, 1935) is an Austrian contemporary composer. He is famous for creating the “Third Viennese School” and spreading contemporary classical music.

"Schwertsik's music is homespun, witty, nostalgic, vegetarian, politically liberal, intelligent, anti-authoritarian, widely-read, and deeply in love with tradition." — Financial Times

- it is not quite clear from this whether Schwertsik himself is vegetarian, or just his music....
