Congress themes - as above,
please ensure your talk is appropriate for the day..
All speakers are asked to complete and send the form below as soon as possible, and by 30th December 2007 at the latest,
There are usually more requests to speak than places available. The organisers will then make their selection according to the congress timetable and attempting to provide a balanced program. No guarantees of a place can be given at this time.
If your talk is selected a short CV with a photo and an abstract of the talk will be added to the Congress website. Any details can be updated at this time.
Plenary sessions: 45-minute
talk and 30 minutes discussion (total 1 hour 15 minutes),
Workshops: 30-minute talk and 15 minutes discussion (total 45 minutes)
Congress languages are
English and German. Further languages may be offered on sufficient
demand (at least 30 participants per language).
Simultaneous translation will be provided for plenary sessions but
not for workshops.
To faciliate translation, the complete text of all plenary session
contributions must be received at least four weeks before the congress.
IVU guidelines are that
no fees and no travel expenses are paid. However, speakers from outside
Germany are offered a discount of 200 euros (approx UKP136 / US$262
) while speakers from Germany receive 100 euros (approx UKP68 / US$131
) discount. These are roughly equivalent to two nights and one night
respectively. In exceptional circumstances other arrangements may
be possible at the discretion of the organisers.
