    grams of Japanese Rice (about 1 cup)

  2. Japanese Rice: Soak the rice for 20-30 minutes before cooking.
  3. Corn: Cut the corn from the bottom and remove the leaves (green outer husk) along with the corn silk. Only half the corn is used; the remaining may be used to make soup.
  4. Remove kernels from the cob: Take the end of a spoon and pierce it in between the corn line and remove one of the lines of corn.
  5. Then using your thumb to push the other line of corn in the direction of the line of corn that you have removed. You will see that the corn is coming out very easily.
  7. After soaking the rice, place it in the cooker with corn, peas, and 300ml of water. Cook as normal in a rice cooker. Once the rice is cooked, combine everything well before transferring it to a bowl and finishing with toasted sesame on top.
  8. Serve this rice dish with other dishes, or if you want to serve it immediately, remember to season with salt before cooking!
