Slice tofu into 1/4" thick "steaks" and shallow fry in a hot non stick
frypan or skillet.
- Wholemeal bread or your favourite Margarine or your own choice
- Firm Tofu
- Vegetarian bacon rasher (Sold in Australia as Sanitarium No-Bacon)
- Bean Sprouts
Heat no-bacon in same pan , it only takes a minute or so.
Tofu is ready when both sides are a light golden brown.
Bread, margarine followed by a light spread of miso.
Add lettuce, tomato, tofu, no-bacon & top with bean sprouts.
The perfect vegetarian sandwich.
Any salad favourites of choice can be substituted.
Try it with pineapple, mushroom, pickled onion, gherkin or pickles.
Try tofu, no-bacon topped with HP brown sauce or tomato ketchup
for the perfect vegetarian "bacon 'n egg" sandwich.
