These are different from other banana chips and are yellow in colour.
The colour is natural.
With a sharp knife make slits along the skin of the banana.
- Nendran banana - 6 large
- Oil - 2 cups
- Salt - 2 tbsp
Gently remove the peel.
Completely leaving only the pinkish flesh inside.
Slice the inside portion with a grater on to a newspaper.
In a large frying pan, heat oil (usually coconut oil is used.)
When hot add the sliced pieces and fry them till crisp.
As it gets cooked it will become yellow.
Sprinkle salt water before removing from oil.
Drain and remove.
