2013
Even at this age of 90 years, (DOB: 14-06-1923) I have taken a mission to bring back our heritage to save the society from ill-effects posed by modern cultivation methods, adverse effects of junk foods which have entered from European markets (while our low-cost receipes are nutrition rich), protection of native breeds of cattle in view of its various advantages.
The children are educated about survival in harmony with nature with compassion for living beings through Karuna Clubs (of which I am a founder chairman) in over 2000 schools all over India. This is mainly to have vegetarian diet for healthy living.
I have been voicing to Governments against hy-brid/GM culture which ruine the fertility of the soil and leave them barren at the end driving the farmer to suicides. I have been protesting against Meat Export Policy of the Government which drain our granary while feeding the animals to make them meat-worthy.
I have strongly advocated to Government of Tamilnadu to gift only desi-cows in free cattle scheme instead of cross-breed/jersey breed cows which are carriers of many ailments which were not prevalent in our country prior to its import. The nutrition rich A2 milk obtained for desi-cows has been represented to Government with an idea to gift only desi breeds and save them from depletion as they are the pivot for organic farming.
An interaction with farmers all over India is being planned to promote organic farming which give desired results
