Books AfterSchool Class

We are happy to inform that we have just received news from the Cambodia Schools Project. The booklet developed by IVU will be distributed this coming week after the painting iwork developed by studens will be finished at school.

painting at school 1We are excited to share that our ongoing After-School Classes Project in Cambodia, in collaboration with the Shinta Mani Foundation, is taking on a colorful new look. We are currently painting murals on the walls of schools that showcase educational and beautiful animals, and a plant-based food pyramid, and promote compassion, environmental consciousness, and sustainability. The murals create a vibrant and lively atmosphere that fosters creativity and learning. They also serve as a fun and interactive way to educate students on the importance of a plant-based diet, animal welfare, and caring for the planet. Our hope is that these murals will inspire students to become compassionate citizens of the future who are mindful of the impact of their choices on the world around them.

VegVoyages Foundation has an after-school class project in collaboration with Shinta Mani Foundation in rural Cambodia to strengthen the English language skills of students along with ideas and concepts of conscious living, compassion, animal welfare, conservation, recycling, and environment protection, and better health (personal and the planet). We believe that good quality education should not only focus on books but just as importantly on COMPASSION also.
IVU has provided the foundation with a nutrition guide and memory games so that students can learn about nutrition. Providing access to information about nutrition and healthy eating habits can help improve the overall health and well-being of the students. We hope that this guide will yield numerous benefits for individuals and the planet, including improved health, environmental sustainability, animal welfare, cost savings, and dietary variety.

MORE ON IVU AND THE PROJECT

The International Vegetarian Union (IVU) is a global organization that promotes plant-based diets and a compassionate lifestyle. We are incredibly grateful to IVU for providing us with the nutritional guide that we have incorporated into our curriculum for the After-School Classes Project in Cambodia.

IMG 20221021 WA0004 01The guide has been an invaluable resource for our team, as well as for the students, who are now equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to make informed decisions about their diet and health. The IVU nutritional guide is a comprehensive resource that covers all aspects of plant-based nutrition, including protein sources, vitamins, and minerals. It also provides practical tips for meal planning, grocery shopping, and cooking. The guide has been adapted to fit the local context and has been translated into the local language, making it accessible to all.

We are grateful to IVU for their commitment to promoting ethical and sustainable living and for providing us with the tools to make a positive impact in our community.
