 Ringrazio tutti soprattutto per la comprensione dimostrata riguardo agli intoppi dovuti a problemi organizzativi e ringrazio in particolare Francisco che ha creduto in noi.

 Questo congresso ha avuto in ogni caso molto successo. Ne è dimostrazione anche il fatto, solo apparentemente irrilevante, che perfino il nostro tecnico audio si è convertito al vegetarismo ! Aver convinto solo una persona significa aver salvato migliaia di animali. E il cuoco, non vegetariano (il congresso è stato volutamente tenuto in un luogo non vegetariano), si è dedicato alla cucina vegan (addirittura!) con molti sforzi e con grande successo. Per qualche giorno tutto il personale dell’hotel ha mangiato vegetariano. Per noi è importante aver vissuto questo congresso anche in mezzo a persone non-vegetariane. Ci ha detto il Direttore dell’albergo: “Ma voi vegetariani non vi private di nulla!”. Non è vero: noi ci priviamo di molto, ci priviamo della sofferenza di altri esseri viventi... ed è una bella soddisfazione!

 Il congresso anche sulla stampa ha avuto un certo risalto, anche se, purtroppo per problemi tecnici, minore di quanto avevamo previsto. Eravamo in pochi a organizzare un congresso molto grande. Ringrazio anche i giornalisti qui presenti, le televisioni che si sono interessate a noi (RAI, Canale 5).

 Siamo contenti del successo ottenuto, ma ricordiamo che dobbiamo andare avanti col nostro lavoro, perché ogni persona che si converte al vegetarismo è un passo avanti per l’umanità, non per i vegetariani.
