Aber nehmen wir einmal - wie fast jeder - an, es hätte schon mit dem 1. Januar 2000 begonnen. Wenn wir etwas genauer darüber nachdenken, merken wir schnell, dass dieses Datum ein Datum wie jedes andere auch ist. Trotzdem ist da etwas magisches an einem Jahreswechsel, besonders wenn ein neues Jahrtausend beginnt. So wie wir "menschlichen Tiere" einmal sind, möchten wir möglichst Alles beim Alten lassen und möglichst selten das Wagnis des Unbekannten wagen. Nichtsdestoweniger sollten wir ein klein wenig mehr wagen und uns etwas aus dem Kreis unserer komfortablen Gesellschaft herausbewegen. Wer weiss, vielleicht finden wir ein bisher unentdecktes Feld frischer Nahrung, machen eine lebensverändernde Bekanntschaft oder berühren sogar das Leben eines anderen Menschen. Bist Du gewappnet für eine neue Zukunft? Das neue IVU-Kongress Logo symbolisiert eine bessere Zukunft, eine vegetarische Zukunft, eine neue Ära, einen neuen Anfang. Die Jugend, diese neue Zukunft in den Händen haltend, zeigt sie denen, die diese Zukunft annehmen werden.
