He also is an instructor in computer science, computer literacy, film studies, and digital photography. He has contributed invited book chapters and articles to a variety of print books, journals, and newspapers, such as "Animal World Encyclopaedia", "Tasty Bytes", and "Voices from the Garden", as well as many online resources. Dilip is President (since 1993) of the very active Triangle Vegetarian Society (TVS, [www.trianglevegsociety.org](http://www.trianglevegsociety.org/)), hosting the country's largest vegetarian Thanksgiving, which attracts both local and national media attention. He caters weddings and other special events. Dilip has been a vegetarian advocate for many years and has appeared on local and national television on topics such as trends in vegetarianism, vegan Thanksgiving, and the dangers of irradiated foods. He has spoken on vegetarianism and given cooking demonstrations in many venues across the United States, Europe, and Japan, including as a presenter for multiple World Vegetarian Congresses and the first annual Cooking Show in Raleigh, NC (USA) in 2003. Since 1997, he has been on the board of the Vegetarian Union of North America and has been a Councilor with the International Vegetarian Union since 2006. He has taught vegetarian cooking for several educational organizations (such as Wake Technical College, Raleigh, NC), arts institutes (e.g., The Carrboro ArtsCenter, Carrboro, NC), commercial entities (Whole Foods Markets, various locations), schools (various), nonprofit organizations (e.g., Servas Tokyo), and religious centers (various Hindu and Mormon ones).
