#  ¿Necesidad humana o avaricia corporativa?

Por ejemplo, los anuncios afirmaban que podían deshacerse de los síntomas del resfriado durante 6 horas seguidas. Ahora lo hacen hasta 12 horas. Lo que utilizaban hace un año ha sido duplicado en intensidad. Las técnicas comerciales no pretenden mejorar el perfil de salud de nadie; su finalidad es vender el medicamento. El motivo es puramente el beneficio.  Sabemos por la American Cancer Society (Sociedad Americana para el Cáncer) y la American Heart Association (Asociación Americana para el Corazón) que el cáncer y las enfermedades cardíacas matan a más personas en los EE.UU. que todas las demás causas de muerte juntas. Ahora estamos descubriendo que el vegetarianismo ayuda contra el cáncer y los problemas cardíacos. Los médicos no alópatas han sabido esto desde hace al menos 40 años.  La dieta macrobiótica ha sido de gran ayuda para los problemas cardíacos, porque la carne está limitada. Pritikin ha obtenido muchos éxitos frente a la enfermedad cardíaca en sus centros de salud enfatizando una dieta muy baja en grasas y el ejercicio. Esta dieta reduce el consumo cárnico al mínimo - en realidad, lo elimina. El organismo responde cuando el consumo de carne se limita al igual que la estimulación del corazón que provocan las carnes rojas - especialmente vacuno, pero la publicidad nos dice continuamente que necesitamos tomar carne de vacuno.  Consideremos los problemas de la grasa. Los restaurantes y supermercados nos venden filetes y asados cargados de grasa, pero no nos dicen que las grasas saturadas se depositan en el organismo en forma de 'placa grasa' en las principales arterias cardíacas, provocando el estrechamiento arterial. Esto interfiere en la circulación sanguínea del organismo y contribuye a los infartos. Si debemos esperar hasta que exista una cura para la enfermedad cardíaca, y tomar medicamentos para reducir el riesgo, vamos a tener que tratar posteriormente los efectos secundarios de los medicamentos que estamos tomando.  Se están promocionando algunos alimentos que ayudan a reducir las enfermedades cardiovasculares, pero se nos dice que tomemos una aspirina diaria también. ¡No necesitamos la aspirina!  La Sociedad del Cáncer debería estar hablando sobre los buenos alimentos. Deberían estar hablando sobre todos los aditivos químicos alimentarios que están contribuyendo al cáncer. No estamos persiguiendo al culpable. Castigamos a un criminal cuando es condenado por violar a alguien, pero la industria alimentaria está quedando impune por violar a toda la raza humana lo cual es mucho peor que cualquier otra cosa que yo conozca.  **Medicamentos y toxinas**  Los aerosoles tóxicos han de matar a 18 personas antes de que realmente nos percatemos. Los medicamentos, el alcohol, el tabaco y la polución están lisiando las mentes y cuerpos de la próxima generación. La ciencia va 20 años por detrás para encontrar soluciones a esta situación. ¿Qué clase de raza humana habremos dejado cuando la ciencia alcance sus respuestas propuestas?  Cada medicamento, alimento y fertilizante derivado de petroquímicos deberá ser abandonado en el futuro. No están haciendo ningún bien a la raza humana o al planeta Tierra. Cada uno de estos medicamentos petroquímicos es sospechoso de ser cancerígeno. Las empresas farmacéuticas están obteniendo beneficios récord, mientras los agricultores pierden hasta la camisa. Quienes trabajan en beneficio de la sociedad criando alimentos saludables obtienen los menores beneficios. Quienes están perpetrando el mayor daño a la raza humana están ganando las mayores sumas de dinero.  Me pregunto si nuestras elevadísimas ventas de tranquilizantes están motivadas por una necesidad real del consumidor o por avaricia corporativa. Hoy en día, una de cada siete personas está tomando tranquilizantes que provocan efectos secundarios peligrosos. Medicamentos como estos crean la necesidad de salas médicas para iatrogenia. Ya es hora de que las empresas paren de estirar de la madeja ante los ojos de la gente. Ya es hora de que la gente manifieste cuán hartos están de las curas que no curan.  **La dieta correcta**  ¿Por qué sucede que tenemos que luchar para conseguir que la gente coma los alimentos adecuados? Si tuviésemos que ceder nuestros pacientes a la clase médica, no conozco ni 10 médicos que pudieran confeccionar un menú o una dieta con los alimentos adecuados para que una persona pudiera recuperarse con la dieta sólo. Esa es una situación verdaderamente triste.  Mucha gente que está intentando usar los principios de salud no poseen un fondo científico, título universitario o licencia autorizada. Más aún aquellos que parecen especializarse en temas como el efecto del salvado de avena en los niveles de colesterol. ¿Por qué se quedan a medio camino? Han descubierto sólo una dirección. Existen al menos otros 15 alimentos que podrían reducir el colesterol.  El salvado de avena es sólo una moda que se lleva en el país, igual que la moda de la fibra. Kellog anuncia que tiene unos cereales con la cantidad de fibra apropiada para reducir el riesgo de cáncer. Kellog está despertando ante las cosas sobre las que la gente se preocupa. También anuncian un muesli de cereales que los suizos ya preparaban hace más de 50 años. ¿Dónde han estado?  Mientras no elevemos nuestra conciencia hasta el nivel en que no vayamos a utilizar sustancias químicas que destruyan a la gente, no vamos a disponer de alimentos que valga la pena comer. La Naturaleza queda destruida en el laboratorio químico alimentario. Los verdaderos alimentos que aportan salud han de ser completos, puros, frescos y naturales. No puedes huir de esto porque todas las empresas farmacéuticas son partidarias del alivio temporal. Los síntomas van y vienen, y perseguimos enfermedades. Buscamos una curación y sin embargo estamos desarrollando nuevas enfermedades más deprisa de lo que jamás podremos dedicarnos a ellas.  Opino que no existirá curación para la epidemia de las enfermedades modernas hasta que se produzca un cambio de conciencia. La curación no le corresponde a la gente que se dedica a los negocios farmacéuticos y al estamento médico. Ya es hora de que la gente se levante y proclame la verdad. Debemos cuidarnos de las sustancias básicas que están provocando los mayores problemas de salud, y debemos afrontar los motivos lucrativos que alimentan a las empresas que están contribuyendo al problema.  *El **Dr. Bernard Jensen** empezó su labor curativa en 1929.
