"There is no sin but cruelty "
The one command of Culture is "Thou shalt not be cruel"
The only thing the cultured person cannot overlook is cruelty.
The morality of culture implies a laissez faire attitude towards others.
This means that cruelty of every sort, righteous or unrighteous, sadistic
or disciplinarian, mental or physical, is a thing to be abhorred.
