Vegetarian Chinese Style

In Thailand, the Chinese Vegetarian Festival begins on the 1st day to 9th days of the 9th month every year . The Chinese named the Vegetarian Festival , " 9th month Jay "

"Jay" is the Chinese word, means no meal and is also meaned "temple"

Correct abservance of vegetarianism not only requires obstruction of meat but also requires strict religious practice as well as purify in body , speech and mind in order be complete.

True Chinese Vegetarians will abstain from eating pungent smelling vegetables such as garlic, onions , shallots, radishes and tobacco leaves because of their strident taste and pungent odor . Ancient Chinese believe that those vegetable contained toxins that destroyed the five elements and damaged the principle internal organs causing them to be deficient.
