David Pye
Thursday, plenary session - 4.30pm - 6.15pm : Why Environmentalists aren't vegetarian
Friday - 11.30am - 12.30pm : Being Vegetarian is really good for environment

David Pye has been vegetarian for 30 years, and is a trustee of the UK Vegetarian Society. He has been a candidate for the UK Green Party in several local elections and a founder and trustee of the Wirral Green Alliance environmental charity which runs an education service and organic vegetable growing projects.

Having been a research chemist for over 20 years he is currently employed part time as IT manager and company secretary for an energy efficiency advice charity based in Wirral, which he helped to set up in 1995. David lives with his partner Christine in Birkenhead, Merseyside, UK. His interests include, sailing, computers, world music and environmental issues.

 


Here is a picture of myself clutching some home (over) grown courgettes which I have subsequently eaten.
