Full organization membership is open to any
society who primary purpose is to promote
vegetarian ideals, and whose executive authority
is vested exclusively in vegetarians. Each
organization having full membership receives one
vote at the VUNA General Meeting for up to 150
members, and an additional vote (up to a maximum
of 5 votes) for each additional 500 members or
fraction thereof. Each organization also receives
one vote at all International Vegetarian Union
General Meetings in the same proportions (up to a
maximum of 10 votes). Full organization
membership rates: US$20 annually for up to 150
members; $48 for up to 650 members; additional $32
for each additional 500 members or fraction
thereof, up to a maximum of $240.
Associate organization membership rates:
Associate membership, which carries no voting
rights, is open to any group that is in sympathy
with vegetarianism, animal rights,
humanitarianism, health, or similar objectives.
Membership rate: US$20 annually.
Individual membership rates: Individual
membership is open to vegetarians and non-vegetarians
(Associate Members). Individuals may become
members and Associate Members of the Vegetarian
Union of North America for an annual fee of US$20.
Life membership is available for a payment of $200.
A vegetarian is a person who lives upon a
diet of grains, legumes, fruits, vegetables, and
other products of the plant kingdom with or
without the use of dairy products and eggs, to
the entire exclusion of the flesh of animals (meat,
fish, and fowl).
Individual members do not have voting rights
unless they are delegates representing member
societies, but they may be elected to office in
VUNA. Individual members of VUNA are also members
of the International Vegetarian Union (IVU) and
receive all publications of the IVU.
Non-vegetarians who wish to support the
objectives of VUNA may become Associate Members.
They receive all publications of VUNA and of the
IVU, but do not have voting rights.

the page)

card using the secure transaction server.

- all the information, except your credit card
details, is automatically forwarded to VUNA)
