I thought this one up on my own. Makes one easy pie.
- 1 - 13oz bag of cranberries
- 1 - 12 or 13oz bag of frozen blueberries
- 1 large orange
- 1/2 cup of white sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 pie crust (frozen or homemade)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Zest the orange and then squeeze out the juice.
In a large bowl combine berries, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla, the
orange zest and the orange juice.
Toss until all the ingrediants are coated with sugar.
In a 9" pie pan place the pie dough and form to pan.
Place the berry mixture in the pie and bake for 25 minutes or until
the crust moves freely in the pie pan.
This pie is easy and a grat variaion on an old favorite. I always
end up making one around the holidays for my family. For the more
risque' add a little dry white wine to the filling, just a splash.
